With over two million confirmed cases of COVID-19, Brazil remains one of the hardest hit countries globally in the ongoing pandemic.

To assist in the response to the pandemic, UNICEF is scaling up the delivery of health and hygiene supplies, as well as educational materials and food supplies across the country. UNICEF has already distributed food baskets to 18,547 vulnerable families across five states and with the help of partners - including the Red Cross - aims to reach an additional 583,000 people in the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belém, Manaus, São Luís, Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza, Maceió and Boa Vista.
