The Digital Strategy Section in the UNICEF Division of Communication (NYHQ) is currently accepting applications for their Voices of Youth Blogging Internship – Spring/Summer 2015. The deadline for applications is 15 March 2015.

Voices of Youth has already successfully engaged two cohorts of blogging interns in the past – the first in 2013, and the second in 2014. Due to the success of these blogging internships, and as part of UNICEF’s overall youth engagement efforts around the Post-2015 Development Agenda, they are scaling up the initiative to offer two internship opportunities in 2015 – for the Spring/Summer (April-July) and Autumn/Winter (September-December) periods.

The blogging internships offer young people an opportunity to develop their writing, research and critical thinking skills, and allow them to connect with other engaged young people around the world in global dialogue. VOY community managers will supervise and work with the interns in order to increase their blogging skills; each post written by the interns will be reviewed and commented on, with the aim of truly building the capacity of the young bloggers. Upon completion of the internship, the interns will receive a certificate so that they can reflect this experience on their CVs as they continue their studies or prepare to enter professional life.

The initiative is open to young people aged 14 to 24. Approximately 30-40 interns will be selected across the three languages per group, with the selections be based on the applications and reflecting a balance of countries/regions and gender.
