Our UNICEF Canada Youth Advocate, Daniel, shares about British Columbia's clam gardens. Indigenous peoples have been building clam gardens for at least 3,500 years. Research shows that these gardens are three times more productive than wild beaches in producing clams, such as the butter clam and littleneck clams. He urges everyone to explore their local ecosystems, learn about their area's history and traditional practices, and get involved to protect the environment around them.
UNICEF is working to ensure the rights of migrant and displaced children around the world are protected.
New survey data reveal looming food and nutrition concerns for 52,000 children under the age of 5 and pregnant and breastfeeding women in six provinces.

As we celebrate Pride Month, we should be proud of all the work we have done over the last few decades to make our 2SLGBTQ+ community feel safer. Despite the accomplishments, we should not let our foot off the gas. While we have made progress that we should be proud of, we are never immune from sabotage and backsliding.
