(Contract 12-18 Months; Full time; based in Toronto) Reporting to the Director, People & Organizational Development, the Senior People & Organizational Development Officer will be a trusted Business Partner to support employee development, engagement and retention through people-centered initiatives including: administration; compensation and benefits; mental health and wellbeing; health and safety; policies; performance management, organizational development and employee relations.





(September 5, 2023- November 24, 2023 internship; 37.5 hours per week; remote) The Domestic Advocacy department at UNICEF Canada is seeking a motivated, organized, self-starter to join us as a Domestic Advocacy Intern. You will assist with youth engagement, event planning, communications, and administrative duties to support the department’s planning towards National Child Day/World Children’s Day activities. In this role, you will also have an opportunity to work on projects to develop your skills in one or more of these areas: • Youth engagement • Project management • Event planning • Social media Projects and tasks may include (but are not limited to): • Supporting young people to prepare for activities • Coordinating activities • Supporting content creation • Event logistics support • Promoting events • Internal and external communications The ideal candidate will have: • Passion for children’s rights • Strong interest in child and youth issues, youth voice and not-for-profit organizations • Experience with youth engagement (is a young person themself, or has participated in similar activities as a youth participant), particularly youth events • Ability to work as part of a team • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) • Excellent organizational skills • Excellent time-management skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Solid understanding of social media platforms • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
