When we think of traditional fundraising efforts, often it’s events – things like marathons or bake sales – that come to mind. In a time of social distancing though, how can people fundraise? We talked to UNICEF UBC, one of our Campus Clubs, on how they’re keeping their fundraising efforts going, while practicing safe social distancing.
UNICEF Report Cards measure child and youth well-being in wealthy countries. Report Card 18 compares levels of child poverty in the richest countries; the progress they have been making to end child poverty; and how well their policies protect every child from poverty.
Children must be protected and the services they rely on must be safeguarded, in line with international law.

After many years of progress, the child poverty rate in Canada has moved in the wrong direction. In fact, the poverty rate rose more sharply for children than for the general population. Canada is now a middle performer among rich countries for its rate of child poverty.
